Arrow Toppers - Old Topic New Question

I know this topic has been discussed many times, but I have a question on pricing.

Snugtop XTR
Leer 100XB
Glasstite Outfitter

The Glasstite dealer said the Glasstite are the best and are one piece. But I think the Leer and Snugtop are also.

Anyone get any of these in Arizona, California area?
What kind of prices did you pay?

SnugTop

Leer 100XB

GlassTite Outfitter

Toppers..

While I can't speak of the makes and what they cost, I can say that the models, regardless of make, will all be about the same size and cost. The size is the same because all the manufacturers buy their glass from the same company and therefore the glass openings will all be the same. Ever notice that the openings are all the same? I found this out when I was looking for tops and the dealer told me that info. The more I looked into it, the more the information seemed to ring true.

I almost bought the leer like you have pictured and I think the base price was right around $1550 and then after adding the lights, carpeting, flip down sliding window and such it came in at around $1800..

Hope this helps!

Later,
Chris

Its been tough since each dealer is tooting the product they sell. One guy said they dropped Leer for Glasstite, etc.

So its hard to know who is right unless there is a dealer that sells all of them.

Guess it boils down to the best price.

Ended up going with the ARE Z series.

The local dealer sells them all and said ARE sold the most and had .05% returns conpared to 5%+ on the others.

Also the ARE is the largest and designed all the features others are copying.

Can'to go wrong with any of them, but it turned out I picked one not on my list.

Also the Z series have good reviews from the members of this sote.

Congrats my friend!

Actually, the Leer and ARE were the exact two I was looking at - basically I was looking at the top of the line for both...

Post up some pics when you get a chance..

Later,
Chris

Thumbs up

Here is a link to a post my wife did over 2 years ago. https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...threadid=48061

This our truck. we still have it along with the Snugtop XTR. Love them both. Just hit 38,000 miles on it. We like the XTR because it does not look like all of the other toppers. We wanted something different. It has 2" bars on the roof for tiedowns. This topper comes with sliding window, carpet and light standard. The fit is very good. The finish (Paint) is still flawless. When we got this topper, we were the 2nd people in New Mexico to have an XTR. I still have not seen any others as of yet. I do see tons of Screws with the other toppers, They all look the same. When it comes to the Snugtop XTR, I will say it in Ebay terms "A++++, will do business with again, Great product"

Yes, those MPG numbers were good. That was with our original motor though. Blew a head gasket at 10000 miles and ford put in a new motor. Since then we get around 17 -18 highway and 15 in town. Only 10 when towing trailer. These are still not bad numbers.

It may be to late but you may also want to check out the Raider canopy line. They are manufactured in Canada and boast of the best warranty in the business. They are just a bit cheaper then the Leer and comparable in quality. My canopy is the vagabond model and was $1200 with tax and installation.

I paid 1500 for a loaded snug top xv for my 2003 screw. It came with every option. That was here in Tucson AZ. With wheeling and dealing you can get them to include some extras for free. I shopped around and looked at all the different brands and models and decided that the snug top was at or near the top of the line .
