02 SCrew Cold Air Intake Question
02 SCrew Cold Air Intake Question
I have a 2002 Supercrew w/ 5.4l. I went out and bought one of the $45 Ebay cold air intake thinking it would work on my truck as it was listed for -02 F150. Needless to say mine seems to be different that what this was supposed to fit. From my best guess the 02 had the MAS stuck into the bottom of the plastic housing next to the air filter. The kit I got seem to need a 4 bolt flange MAS.....which my truck doesn't have.
SO the question, who's got an 02 screw with a cold air? What type did you get?
Am I missing something and should just go back to the carbs on my mustang and cougar and leave this EFI to the "Pros"?

Can't help ya, I put a K&N fipk in, so when I purchased MY kit off of ebay it fit right in, Mine didn't have screws, though, it was just a simple copper wire and transformer that i had to bend and plug in.
Good Luck, did you try calling or emailing the ebay seller?

Well there have been quite a few views of my question but no answers so here's my summary:
1. Your laughing so hard your unable to reply
2. You have no idea what I was asking
3. Your as clueless as me
Well I solved the problem today so at the expense of my stupidity here's my conclusion. The kit I bought off of Ebay was "no instructions included". Obviously I needed instructions as I'm clueless.
I found some install instructions on the K&N site and all I needed to do was to look behind door #1. My truck did have the part I thought was missing but it was contained inside the black round air filter housing. I was just to dumb to look behind the "door".
SO maybe I should just go back the the stang and stick my head under the hood where I recognize everything and leave the hi-tech stuff to others.
Nahhhh.....what's the next upgrade!!!
