How much abuse can the Crew take!

Hi everyone, I am new to this site, but enjoying reading all of your comments very much. I am also a new Super Crew owner, we got our 2003 Supercrew Lariat FX4 in November, and am enjoying it very much.

My question is this. Were we live we get a lot of snow. Well, we have been dumped on quite a bit in the last two days. Anyway, when I went home last night the plows had gone by and plowed a big pile of snow in front of the driveway. Well, feeling ambitious, I put it in four wheel drive and gunned it. Well, there is a huge bump under all that snow that was plowed up, and the truck felt like it went airborne and landed kind of hard. I made it through it, but was a little shocked on how hard I felt it came down. Nothing seems to have happend to it, but was wondering if I shoud be concerned about anything.

I guess that is what I get for reliving a little of my youth.

Thanks

Just do a visual and check to see if anything is broken, if it drives good still, than dont worry about it.

Mine has been air born several times while off roading and its still fine, I cant say the same for my buddies Z71 though!

Your FX4 should have skid plates, so that will protect some of the truck's vital organs. But I agree, if it still seems to run ok, you probably didn't do anything major to it. Still, to be safe and for peace of mind, have it checked out. Up on a lift, it will be apparent if something is wrong.

I had a similiar thing happen to me recently. I had the truck in for brakes, and the dealer phoned me to say that the lower ball joints were shot. They believe it was caused by driving throught potholes on the road. Lucky for me, they are a warranty item. I agree with the other postings, have a qualified mechanic check it out for you.
