bearings open or sealed

OK, do these trucks have bearings that need repacked or are they sealed hubs that are good for a 100,000 miles? I'm getting ready to replace the brakes, and thought I should repack the bearings as well, but I'm not sure if it's possible. A buddy of mine said that they should be sealed.

Thanks,

Rick

Your boys are sealed.

4x4 has sealed hubs
4x2 has serviceable bearings

Awesome, Thanks a lot. Now, what is the life of these?

Thanks,

It's pretty much indefinite. Whereas with other sealed hubs, such as the 1997-2001 Explores where bearing failures seem fairly common, the F-150's sealed bearings seems to last quite a while.
