Line of Fire - SuperCrew Specific Question
Who has the Line of Fire installed on their SuperCrew?
Will the 60" fit the SuperCrew or do you have to go with the shorter one?

Uhh, Why...
I don't think you could get me drunk enough to put something that ghetto on my truck..
Maybe it looks better in person, but just the way it looks in that picture, puts it about one step above red and white stripped reflective tape..
If you put it on, post up some pics, I sure hope it looks better in real life...
Does it come with curb feelers that light up?

Don't have one installed, but when I looked at this before, my first thought was where do you hide the wiring ?
The bar is on the outside of the tailgate, and now you have 4 wires you need to hide, while getting them routed to the wiring harness or the tail lights.
If the wiring is on the surface, it would run through the crack between the body and the tailgate, and then what ? Not to mention that you need enough slack in it to open and close the tailgate. The only thing I could come up with was the wiring would run down between the bumper and the bed body, but would still show.
I opted to put in LED STT 60 series in my cap instead ( having that option myself ) which I mounted on the angle brackets, and routed the wiring up and around the sides of the cap, down the the tail lights via the hole under the bed rail. 2 pluses, 1) the wiring is not exposed, and 2) the spread of the light is not clumped towards the bottom of the truck, it is more spread around the back of the truck, which seems to be mroe attention getting.
If you are looking at adding the STT lighting to the back of the truck, maybe another option is to mount a set 60 series STT ovals next to the reciever on the hitch, or there abouts. Brighter lights ( 60 series are Semi tail lights ), as they are esigned to be primary STT lights DOT approved, and the wiring is easier to hide.
I keep looking at adding a set of rear fog lamps like a Audi or Volvo has ( look like brake lights on all the time ), but don't like the size options in the exceeds DOT spec Whelen lights ( got a 700 series for a S_T replacement on the ZG-1000 ).
If you are good with the wiring options that this offers, you would need the shorter one, and the other item of note, is how flexable it is, as the SCrew tailgate is a bit convex, not perfectly flat like the ones they show on the web site.
Good luck.

Well...
I was coming back from class tonight and I saw one of these installed on the back of a Silverado. It actually looked O.K., but I still don't think one would find its way on my truck...
It DOES look better than I thought though... Granted, it was dark, so I couldn't see the wiring..
Later,
Chris

It's definately an attention getter. The one you saw on that Chevy was probably stock as many of them are coming with that as a 'safety feature' now.
The curb feelers, however, are still optional.

Not surprising...
I am not the lest bit surprised that Chevy is the one offereing this feature.. GM - who has brought out some of the ugliest cars and trucks in history (Avalanche, Aztek, Aveo, Lumina)..
Well, that speaks for itself...
Next year GM will probably offer neon underbody lighting and "la cucaracha" horns...
