Weathertech Rainguards fell out of window

My Weathertech Rainguards fell out of my window channel this morning while I was clearing snow off my Supercrew. I picked it up and re-inserted it back into the channel. It seems to be in there pretty good right now.

When I bought these last June, I had a hard time getting them into the channels in my truck, and the adheasive on the inner flange is supposed to keep them in place, once it is seated properly.

The temperature this morning is -12C with a windchill of -20C. Could the cold have caused the plastic to contract in the channel and allowed them to fall out?

I have sent an e-mail to Weathertech telling them of this, and now I am waiting for a reply. Has anyone else had this problem?

I have never heard of this happening before but I have heard that Weathertech has a good customer care program and they should take care of you. One person spoke of the weathertech coming off while driving and they (WT) sent him a new complete set at no charge no questions asked. My thought is the exteme cold must have caused something to shrink up (you men know what im talking about) thus when you brushed the snow off it came loose.

It's happened to me once..

One time I was coming back from the lake and it was dark (so I didn't immediately notice). Anyways, I rolled the window and the passenger side front weathertech was gone.

I don't know if someone stole it or tried to break in, but it was gone..

Anyways, called the 800 number that's listed on the sticker and they had a new one shipped to me in no time. In fact, they sent me an entire front set (left and right)... NO CHARGE!

I have the utmost respect for Weathertech based on that alone.

No stupid questions asked either, I just told them "It fell off or something, I don't really know, other than it's gone now..."

The lady simply replied, "can I get your address and make/model and we'll get a new one shipped right out to you..."

I about had a heart attack!

Later,
Chris

I tossed mine a few months ago.

The techs in my front eventually started to get loose and rattle all the time. I kept having to open/close the window to get the rattle to stop. It finally got to a point where it would rattle almost every time, so I took them out...I noticed that the tape on both fronts was completely useless (no stick at all). I never had the problem with the back ones but I went ahead and took those out to...it didn't look right with just back guards. I had only had them just over a year too. I thought about trying to sell them but thought If I did not like them rattling them no one else would either...so I tossed them. I'm thinking I will prolly get some that stick on the outside of window this spring.
