temperature reading
What are the highest and lowest temperature readings you have seen on your temperature display? I don't know how high they go but mine doesn't seem to go any lower than -40C. Its been there for three days now.
-40C = -40F !!!
I don't know if it goes lower than that or not. If it hasn't gotten above that in three days where you live maybe you should consider moving!!
If it is not believable that the temps are really that cold . . . then I think your sensor or the display might be broken.

No, its not broken, showing a tropical -28C today. I know that before it was quite a bit colder than -40C but thats as low as the display read. I even took notice in several other Fords. Even intake air temperature sensors wouldn't read below -40C, they would just set a code saying that the sensor was reading out of whack.
So anybody know how high it will go??

Here in balmy NC we don't experience such highs and lows. But, to hijack this thread a little, how long does it take you outside temp. to read acurately. Sometimes I have to drive several miles before it settles down (or up) and shows a true reading. (example: if I check my back porch thermometer it read 42 degrees, I get in the truck and it reads 51 degrees when I start it. It might take as much as 5 minutes to get to 42 degrees.)
Is this normal for all of you?
