switch to buckets, space between?

I have a 2001 Super Crew and I want to do some changes to the front seat setup.

First, will other F-150 buckets fit (direct easy bolt on?) say from a 2000-2002 F-150 regular or ext cab?

I want to take out the 60/40 bench and put in 2 buckets. If I do this, does anyone know how much space I will have between the seats?

I want to fabricate a cabinet for a 12" sub and to hold some other stuff like an arm rest unit would do. I already have a 12" under the seat with a box from Supercrew sound.

I have found a lot of buckets in real good condition for around $300.00 pr.

Thanks
Patrick

For $45.00 worth of parts, and a friend who is in the upholstery business, ( any good shop should do it for less than $100.00)who
did mine for free, I had the 60/40 seats in my '01 SCrew cut down (like the mod for the Expedition console) and installed a combination console/ TV/ VCR in the center section. Sorry I do not have a digital camera for pics, but it came out really nice. Looks factory.

You have leather or cloth?

How much are you going to pay for the buckets? And do you have leather or cloth? I have buckets with console (late 2001 style with larger console and no arm rests), and would prefer to have bench seat.

I have grey leather. The seat bottoms would need to be replaced to look new, the seat backs are fine. Let me know if interested. I am in Dallas, so could be an easy swap.

I have grey 40/60

I've done some searches and have found buckets in TX for $250.00 excellent condition...

Still thinking about it.

The other reason for the swap is, the previous owner was a smoker and I'm getting all the smoke smell things out of the cab.
