Talking Glad I got the 4x4

While riding up a steep hill to get to work this morning I had to put the 4x4 into action. So glad I had gotten this option. Don't use it often but it sure is nice to have when you need it.

when people ask me why i always buy 4x4's...i always reply: because it's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it!!

i tell them that because i don't want to be rude and say: because i can afford it!

congrats on needing it and having it! the way i see it, with you using it that ONE time it has already paid itself off!

Congrats. I have used mine a few times, especially when I backing a trailer up a hill. It makes it so much easier. Last year we were at a NHRA drag race in PA and parked in middle of a mud pis basically. They tried to put some gravel down and keep everything usable, but it rained so much, it was more like a mud bog. We parked there anyway and had to use 4x4 to get out. Going up hill in mud isn't easy. There was a PT cruiser that kept backing up and trying to make it up the hill. I think he may still be there. I would have helped, but there were already a lot of people there and not much room for pulling a car out. I don't use 4x4 much, but it is so nice to have.

This weekend we got about 4 to 6" of snow and I used that as an excuse to try the 4WD for the first time. It worked great. I was in a big parking lot with virtually no cars so I stopped and then stepped on the gas to see what would happen. The truck squirmed a little side to side but took off straight. I was impressed with how well it worked. This is my first 4WD vehicle.

I agree. I don't go off roading but the 4x4 is great to have when you need it. Especially since we have had 2 nasty winters recently the 4x4 really was nice.

I normally hope that there is no snow but I found myself hoping for a good amount of snow just to get to try the 4WD out.
