I recently had a chance to run my Screw against an '04 Ram with the 5.7 Hemi.

I spanked him.... he had a brief jump but when his shifted to 2nd and my chip banged into 2nd I closed the gap. then proceededto bury the speedo.... not sure how how fast but easily over 100 and still pullin.

(lest I get any lectures,,,,, on a quiet section of 4 lane with no side streets etc.)

Good Kill!!! I did the same thing in my wife's delSol one day - only difference was that he never had the lead. I have beed waiting for a chance to meet up with one in my truck. I was wondering how the Hemi would stack up against the 5.4 (without supercharger). My truck was in the shop for two weeks and I was driving a Ram with a 4.7L and I will have to admit it was a quick little engine. It shifts real smooth, too. Made me worry about the Hemi if it is that much stronger than the 4.7L.

 

all the reviews of the hemi 5.7 say that it doesnt feel like 345 hp.... even in the durango i think its rated at 330 hp, and at least one mag said it still didnt feel like 330 hp. i think dodge is inflating their numbers a bit too much

 

I know even with the mods I am not turning anywheres near 330 HP .....

I think the shifting with the chip and the combo of Airaid and True duels --- is what did it

I saw a Hemi run 14.79 the other day. Short bed regular cab. Guy said it was stock except for the KN+40 series Flowmaster. Can I option a new one that would be faster with little or no mods?? I would hate to spend a ton of cash just be a little faster...
