Question Stains on window sill

Got a '02 XLT SCrew. My question is that I have some white fingerprint stains on the black matte finish below the windows from a previous cleaning but they will not come off with Windex or hard washing. I'm hesitant to use anything stronger for fear of damaging the finish so I'm all ears as to what will work. I didn't put this in the "Appearance" forum because the SCrew's are the only model that has the black matte finish. Thanks in advance for the help

If Monica from above doesn't work, do a search on window surround and see the list of threads there, this one linked below has some merit:

i wonder if maybe its white lithium or silicone lube from a window lube job.

possibly the mechanic didnt wash hands thoroughly before putting door skin back on.

Maybe do your search on the most gentle products to remove that type of stain.

Thinking about this, maybe you should post this question in "Interior Care" forum. There are guys that hang there with all of the answers on detailing.
