I bought the brake control plug, and the 7&4 pin harness from the dealer last year...I think I spent $ 60.00 for both! The 7 pim harness installed in about 15 minutes...had to drop the spare...

The mounting bracket for the 7&4 pin combo is not real pretty...I still need to modify it...but it was plug and play!

I have the Prodigy controller, the plug/harness for late model F150's is available at most hitch shops, and the Ford Dealer. Mine was included as part of the trailer tow package. The leads out of the controller just connect to the harness and you plug it in under the instrument panel just right of the steering column. You need to look under the I.P. to see the plug. The prodigy unit fits nicely into that small cubby to the right of the steer column.

I have the TOW PACKAGE but have seen no harness I bought the truck three weeks ago. It's an XLT 5.4 with tow package.....should I be calling my dealer as to the whereabouts of this harness???

Wow I can't believe this forum is still active, I started this in 2003. Anyway...yes you should have the harness from the dealer in your truck, mine came with one but when I bought my prodigy I also got a pre-done harness (hey I'm lazy!!) so I could literally just plug it in.

Hope that helps!
