That doesn't seem too bad, but there have been better deals in the last several months from time to time. You should be paying no more than invoice minus any rebates.

rjp,

They should be able to do better than that. I just bought mine ~2 weeks ago and the MSRP was $34K. 03 SCrew, Lariat, 5.4 and got it for $25K.

Dealers here (S. Texas) are already discounting 04's $3-4K from MSRP, surely an 03 should have more discounts/rebates than that.

I think you could get them to come down some or give you a great deal on a trade in. My sticker was 32,500 and i got an x plan price 27,000 then the 3500 in rebates and a great trade in made my truck very affordable when it would not have been any other time of the year.

RJP,

Need more details on the Truck you are looking at.

A 2wd XLT with 4.6L around here will sell for about $21,000 after you haggle them down.

mattdaly2,

Nope, it is 4x2. I was looking for an 03 FX4, but couldn't find any in my area that wasn't a "demo" with ~4K miles on it. I have had 4x4s before, but rarely used the 4 wheel drive. Spent the last 10 years in KY, TX and CA, so no real need in those areas.

That would have been a sweet deal if I could have found an FX4 for $25K.

It is an 03 SCrew XLT 4.6 2wd 3:55 axle Grey with cloth bench seats. The only extra is running boards.

rjp,

I think you should shop around. That set-up would be ~$21K around here (TX).

My Lariat has 5.4L, 4x2, 3.55 LS, moonroof, tear drop wheels, two-tone, Class III towing package, Ford Step bars, bed extender and bed liner and was only $25K.

There are better deals around. I got a $4500 dealer discount from MSRP (which was $34K) + ~$4250 in rebates (2500 customer cash, 750 mil rebate, 500 from some other rebate/cash offer and I had received a $500 promotional rebate in the mail from Ford).

IMHO, $25K is too much for a 4.6 XLT with cloth.

The 03 Screw is a great truck. I plan on keeping mine for ~8-10 years. Good luck shopping.

Look for Ford to have a big rebate offer in late November!
