Hey all...
Looking at a Ford F-150 XLT Supercrew and I have kind of a silly question - what exactly was the first year that the Supercrew became available? I'm a bit confused because I've seen references online for both 2000 and 2001, but I believe it to be the 2001 model year. Was there any other 4 door F-150 that I might be confusing this with?

2001 was the first production year for the Supercrew...

But, as you know, a large number of the 2001 model year trucks were made in 2000... just like the 2004 F-150 is rolling off the lines as we speak in 2003.

I've seen people mistakenly advertise thier F250 or F350 Crew Cab as a SuperCrew. That may explain the year 2000 confusion...

 

Another little thing to remember when you’re looking is, the 2001 SuperCrew had 3 generations. The 1st gen. was the 2000 model year front seats (rounded top with the built in head rest). The 2nd gen was new front seats with the movable head rest and the 3rd was head rests for the rear seat. There may have been more modifications between generations of the 2001 S'Crew but those are the ones that stick out.
