Thumbs up New Rubber for 2001 SCrew

Finally got new rubber for me 2001 SCrew. Bought 4 Michelin LTX M/S (P255/70x16). FYI: $865.00 (Cdn) - included installation; wheel balancing; new valve stems; scrap tire disposal; lifetime wheel balancing and rotation; lifetime flat repairs; exclusive road hazard.

To soon to report on performance BUT so far a SMOOOOOOOTH ride (most of my driving is on highway - - I don't offroad).

I'll UPDATE after 20,000 kms.

Many thanks to all who forwarded their recommendations to me (see previous thread).

Cheers

Johnny Kay

Congradulations on the new tires. I just had my work truck shod with new rubber. It is an 02 Screw and I put 255/70/16 Bridgestone Revos on it. Worst tire I have ever had the company buy. Mileage is down 3 mpg's, and it handles like an old fat lady. My other choice was the LTX's which I have on my old Bronco but the LTX's have a tendency to crack at the sidewall and tread in the high Texas heat. Good news for me- the boss said I have bad mouthed the tires so bad he is putting me in a new 04 Screw. I have the options sheet to pick and chose. So I guess I will be in a new ride come January.

I just put Chaparrals M+S on and noticed a bit of drop in the MPGS. Didn't quite figure on the tires messing with the mileage thing.

If the size remained the same, it's from an often overlooked tire characteristic called "rolling resistance"

Anyone Try...

The Bridgestone Dueler H/T tires? I have a set on a Chevy S-Blazer and loved them. Anyone tried them on a SCrew?
