What were they attempting to demonstrate? Looks like an expensive chop job... especially on a limited edition HD.

Tell you the truth, I am not really sure what they were trying to demonstrate.

I did notice that the drive shaft is chrome platted, is that how all the HD's come?

 

Now that is some serious weight reduction.

 

ford does this a lot with display vehicles so people can get an easy look at the innards of the vehicle. I saw this for the 2004 f150, really cool actually, reminds me of the terminator when they warp in and take sections of the truck, or the fence in the second one.

 

I think they were just trying to get at the oil filter to change it.
