"Auto" A/C controls

quick question guys...when i bought my '03 Screw, it came with the Auto Climate Control system; well i've only had trucks with the regular ***** for a/c controls. which setting is the "normal" a/c setting on these fancy-smancy things? is it the "auto" setting? thanks for any help.

I've got the same system, and its a little more complicated. If you hit max ac, it works like a typical ac unit. You basically control the fan speed. But if you hit the "auto" button, it works like your thermostat at home, simply set your temp using the green and red temp buttons, and the unit will adjust the fan accordingly.

Furthermore in auto mode, the system has control of whether it needs to use the compressor to assist in cooling the air to the desired temperature.

the reason i was asking is that i recently read somewhere that it is beneficial to leave the system "open" in order for it to dry up and not get that musty/moldy smell.
