Supercrew Newbie

I recently bought a 2003 Ford F150 Lariat Supercrew 4x4 and I love it. I have one question. It did not come with a towing package but I had one added. I was wondering does my truck have a tranny cooler? If it does not how much weight can I tow without burning up my tranny? Please note I did not have Ford install the towing package I had a truck accessory place do it. All info. is greatly appreciated.

Oh, just a little bit more info. I plan on towing a 8 x5 trailer that weighs about 2500 lbs.

Thanks

your owners manual should state safe hauling weights based on the truck NOT having a tow package

If you have the 5.4L, you have a tranny cooler, but the tow package upgrades it. If you have the 4.6L, you have no trans cooler. Either way, 2500 pounds is no big deal.

Enjoy your new truck and welcome!
