You need a ford radio removal tool, you can pick em up at most part stores for about 4-5 bucks. Hope this helps

You've probably noticed the two tiny vertical holes on either side of the stock radio... those are used to remove the unit.

As was mentioned, go to your local auto parts store or install shop and purchase what they know as a DIN tool.

It's cake...

FM Reception...

Has anyone with a Clarion Camo Sub tried an antenna booster to try to improve reception after sub install?

I know my radio seems a lot more sensative to powerlines etc after installing the sub. haven't tried moving the ground wire or looping the harnass yet.

You've got mail..

Try moving the wires and/or try installing one of those magnetic isolators..

I didn't have any problems but it seems to be hit or miss with folks...

Later and take care,

Chris

Yep...

One in the same... The clamp on ones, typically with a white plastic outer, a snap or two and a magnetic cylinder cut down the middle.

Flying out to Dallas wed to pick up an Excursion for the Wife, this weekend will try the magnets and re-routing of the wires because my reception is poor now, even after doing the ground mod.
