Do yourself a big favor

I'm sure I can't be the first one to post this, but considering, I think it is worth reposting.

What ever you are doing at this moment, Stop. Get on the phone or online and order yourself a new set of shocks for your SCrew. You will not believe the diff. in the ride quality!!!

Don't get me wrong, I love my Screw, but the diff in total ride quality is amazing. Well worth the 3 hours and $300 to do it yourself.

The diff. is so big that I imagine most any aftermarket shock will do much the same for yours. I went with the edelbrock IAS, but their are many options in the same price range.

Really, do it right now.

I'm really beginning to notice decreased ride performance in mine (45k miles). This will be the next mod I do, but I'm moving to Titletown in a week, so my money has to go to that effort for now.

I think I'm gonna go with the Rancho RSX shocks.

Messman,

Only had 7200 miles. I rode in a buddies who just changed to Ranchos. Did mine a week later, but went with IAS

Agreed. I went with Edelbrock IAS as well. Best mod to date (minus my Xenarc's of course).

not sure if it would be the same for the 4x4 supercrews, but i switched my stock Harley shocks, for shocks made for the Lightnings... night and day difference they make.

4x4's might not be able to use them because of height differences?

I agree, I just put on new tires and shocks and the ride improvement is very noticible. I have Goodyear Fortera HL's for tires and Tokico TREK MASTER shocks. I bought the tires for the smooth and quiet ride and the shocks because they give a firm but non-jolting ride.
