weird noise when i turned wheel

hey guys, having a lil problem with my truck, its not all the time but sometimes when im turning LEFT in my truck i hear this noise, its not like a squeak or anything its louder than a squeak would be i dont know how to best describe the noise....kind of loud i can hear it very well.....like i said it doesnt do it all the time, i have an 03 supercab, 10,200 miles on it..... just started doing this recently about 3 weeks ago

If it sounds like a clunking noise, could be a steering yoke assy but I think you would hear the noise no matter which way you turned the wheel or maybe a pitman arm which I had go bad on my 02 SCREW

Be cautious. I had my tie-rod break on the drivers side while I was backing out of my parking space at work only 3 days after I returned from a trip to Cape hatteras N.C.. I drove the truck at 75-80 miles an hour for 12 hours coming home, to have this happen only 3 days later. It jambed inside the wheel when it broke and actually broke the aluminum rim in half.
I have an 01 Supercrew with 69,000 miles on it. I have talked to many who have experienced this issue at 45,000 + miles.
May not be your problem, but its always better to be safe than sorry.
