Anyone else having problems with thier seat heaters? My driver's side (of course) has quit for the second time in two years. Last time is was under warranty, now it'll be on me.

I haven't had any problem with mine but, they're used VERY infrequently...

If you had the same seat heater replaced under warranty, it may still be under warranty. I say this because I had a buddy that had a problem with the 'brain box' on his 98 explorer. He had it replaced under warranty during his 3/36k and it went out again at 45k... they replaced it free of charge because they said the part, itself, was still warrantied....

It's definately worth checking into...

Best of luck.

Talking Heated Seats = GOOD

I love my heated seats, and I use them daily for about 6 months of the year. When I get around to it I will hook them up to my remote start. I haven't seen any problems with them at all in F150s or Superdutys. Have seen one go bad in an Explorer. Had one older lady complain that hers were getting so hot that she had to pull over and get out. Checked it out and she didn't even HAVE heated seats! Scarey!

I had an 02 XLT Screw with heated seats and did not have any troubles, loved them. Now I have an 03 with leather and no heated seats and was wondering is there was an aftermarket kit that I coul install myself that would convert the seat to a heated seat.

I found this:

I would very much like to get heated seats.

Thanks for the responses, doesn't seem to be a wide spread problem, just my bad luck I guess.

Both times it quit it worked every day during winter, wasn't used at all spring and summer, then wouldn't work at all the next fall.

I do plan on asking the dealer about possible warranty coverage but I'm not holding my breath.
