Question Weep Holes Plugged

Hello eveyone, I just bought a 2003 SCrew and I was looking around the truck and noticed the weep holes at the bottom of all the doors all had plastic plugs in them.

Is this normal? And why would there be plugs in something that should be there to drain?

Should I remove them?

RockPick,

What confused me is that there are two holes in each door but some of these plastic covers were missing (2 of 8). Upon closer inspection it seems that there is a slight offset to the plug to allow some breathing.

I guess it must be there to stop bugs or such from getting in or somethin like that.
