Ford drop-in Duraliner removal
Ford drop-in Duraliner removal
Hello all,
I would like to remove my drop-in Duraliner and wanted to know if any of you have done this before? Is it as simple as removing the four tie-downs and lifting the liner out? Do I need to remove the plastic bed rail caps? If so, what's the easiest way? Any inputs as to procedures or pitfalls would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch.
-Mike
P.S. If you live in the Hampton Roads area and need a SCrew Duraliner just let me know.

I think you just open the tailgate, and pull up in the middle of the bedliner at about the middle of the bed, this bows the liner enough to get one side out from under the rail caps. I watched them install mine, and that's the way they got it under the rail caps. A few kicks with a well placed boot, and it was under and installed. I would guess a few tugs should get it out. Apparently bowing it in the middle is the secret.

Success
! Got the Duraliner out and then I installed the Bedrug today (got it from Chickenears, great price and fast delivery)! Like everyone else said, this Bedrug is really nice and install was easy (I took my time, though...about 1.5 hours total). Thanks again for the tips and help, I appreciate it.

P.S. I am building a gallery and will post pics soon.

Ekim,
Sorry, I already gave it away. I will say that the Bedrug is a really great liner if it happens to fit your type of bed usage. I have the Undercover as well (your pics and posts actually helped me make up my mind on that purchase
) and the two go together quite well.

No problem....just looking for a hand out
I have been really considering the bedrug and it looks like that is the route I'm going to take...once I save up my $300. Your truck looks real sharp by the way. I really like the look of the bedrug and undercover. I'm half way there
