ac problem

I have a 01 screw with a little problem. Yesterday I was at a stop sign and had the a/c running. The engine usually idles about 600 rpm in drive with the a/c on. But today the engine started to surge from 600 rpm to just over 1000 rpm. it did this for a couple of cycles then stopped. Then it started it again a few minutes later. it has never done this before. Anyone ever have this problem?

Weird...

First, has it ever done this before? Second, if so, was the AC on? It just seems to me like it's probably a coincidence that the AC was on when it did it (but, it might be the issue...).

Are you still under warranty?

yes still under warranty. and yes the a/c was on but this was the first time that it has started to surge with the a/c on. I have owned the truck since it was new.

IAC

IAC solenoid sticking, happeneing on thousands of Ford vehicles a week. I bet in the past month we have replaced 20 solenoids per week if not more on Lincoln/Mercury's!
