Pop up tie downs on the bed rails?

Hi,

I was hoping somebody has done this to their truck.
The dealership hasnt been much help, cause they have never
done this. But I have seen these tie-downs that pop up when
you need them and push down flush when you dont. I saw a
king ranch with these and would like to do this to my truck.
If anybody has done this and has some pics or info I would
really appretiate it.

Thanks

Chris

I saw them advertised in Cabela's Hunting/Fishing magazine but I'd never heard of them before then. Sorry can't help you.

Question

I am confused.
Pop-up tie downs fit into the stake pockets.
Styleside beds have stake pockets.
Flareside beds do not have stake pockets and I thought SuperCrew beds did not have stake pockets.

Have they started or did they ever put stake pockets in the Supercrew?

Could the King Ranch you saw have been a SuperCab Styleside?

Raoul,

The King ranch that I saw was a 02 super crew f150. I looked at my bed and it does look like I might have 4 areas that might have
stake pockets. My guess is that there are stake pockets under the plastic bed rail caps. If I could come up with a pic of what it looks like under the caps this would help alot.

Rather than tearing up your rails, I like what Lake Sands found in your other thread.

I'm thinking of getting those for my truck as my stake pockets are occupied and those tiedowns can be placed anywhere along the rail not just at the pocket(if you do indeed have pockets which I'm not so sure). I think if pockets were there Ford would have give you access.
That King Ranch may have done some drilling.

Yes, I know what you are talking about. I know that that my local dealer, Shawnee Mission Ford in Shawnee, KS used to have those tiedowns in their part departments.

I don't know if the SuperCrew has the pockets or not, if so the bed cover covers them up on mine.
