Question Question on the outside temp gage

Never owned the fancy outside temperature gage before. Does anyone know the location of the sensor where the reading is being picked up? The temperature reading seems to fall a few degrees once I get moving down the road. This will be nice when winter rolls around.

I believe it's under the hood, just under the cowl.

Cool

Standing at the front, it's on the right, behind the grill, not too far from the hood latch area...

Just a note; I've seen 126 degrees on mine, parked in the SHADE in Phoenix two weeks ago. Of course as soon as I started moving it cooled down, to 116!

Having the fancy thing... I don't really care for it, cuz' I would rather just know the actual outside temperature..

Not how hot my BLACK truck is getting in the HOT sun (under the hood).

I wish it read inside the cab temp instead...

cuz' even though I set the auto a/c to 72, there are times you want to know exactly how warm/cold it is inside.

In the owners manual it states that the most accurate reading will be had when the vehicle is moving. This makes sense and obviously when the truck sits in the sun it will definitely read higher at first start up, until you get moving down the road. I've found mine to be pretty accurate, within 1 or 2 degrees.
