Weathertech Rainguards

I have just ordered a set of 4 Weathertech Rainguards for my 2001 Supercrew. Does anyone know if they can go through a car wash? Or is it safer to remove them?
Canadian Price for these is $180.00 and I don't want them damaged when using a car wash.

Mine have been on for for 26 months, no problem yet.

Once you get them installed, they are a PITA to remove ( at least the back ones were when I had to reposition it ).

I use a soft cloth car wash when the truck is really bad, and in the winter.

Good luck, you will really like them.

I have had these on my SCrew for almost a year now and can't say enough about them...they are outstanding. To answer your question, yes, they will go through a commercial soft-cloth wash without problems. Understand, however, that they are a very clear acrylic and you will see fine scratches develop over time if you use harsh abrasives on them. Nothing that obscures vision, but if you are a perfectionist...

Removing them is inadvisable. The rear guards have an adhesive strip on them to keep them in the channel, so it would be unwise to try removing them regularly. The front guards are a friction fit without adhesives. Once installed, they are outstanding, but they do need to seat themselves in the channel. The instructions outline this well and you should have no problem with them seating in heat like this.

In summation, install them and leave them in, even through a commercial wash. HTH.

Ditto...

I have had mine for over 6 months and like has already been said, they are great and once installed, they don't go anywhere!
