Got a new 03 Screw Lariat today

Drove home with a new Screw today. 2003 4x2 Lariat- sticker was 34600, got $7100 off that (rebate included). Told them to eat the doc fee, told them to install a ford bug guard and a ford bedliner. Total of $7777 in discounts/merchandise. THEN I told them I had a trade. Got a pretty good price on the trade too. Better still, they had the exact truck color and options I wanted. Before I drove off the guy said he'd give me $100 for every buying referral I sent him. He continued to tell me NOT to tell the referrals how to buy a truck..

Do you think the 04s will be discounted as much anytime soon? That's why I went with the 03. No dealer of any manufacturer can touch that deal. It is a sweet ride. Traded in my 99 supercab

I sure wouldn't look for the 04s to be discounted any time soon. Everyone that is ordering one right now is paying FULL MSRP!

Congrats on the new truck!

Congrats on the new truck and what sounds like a sweet deal. I think the new 2004 Ford F-150 will take truck of the year, so I wouldn't expect any discounts. At all. Maybe in a couple of years. That is why I went ahead and got my 2003 screw also.

Lets see some pics!!!

Don't speak so quickly about the discounts guys. I read that Ford may very well put a $500 or $1000 rebate on the '04's just to keep the sales up. They don't want to lose the "best selling truck" credibility by coming out with a new design and trying to stick it to the consumer with the price. Just my $.02 worth.

Jason, sounds like a nice ride. You will enjoy it. Have fun.

Congrats - that sounds like a great deal! Makes me want to go try for one...but the new version sounds like it will be killer. I would probably wait at least a year for the new model, so that they at least work out the initial kinks, plus I doubt there will be many deals on the 2004. At least, no where near what you got!
