Cool Road trip

Drove to Atalanta and back this week a total of 742 miles... used 40 gallons of 93 octane (various types)

this is 18.5+ miles per gallon.... and I was cruising at about 80 on I-75

love my sound system and the engine mods....

just south of Atlanta ... yesterday.... I was working through light traffic... I saw a Black Lightning come up on my tail.... ( I have lightning tails - so he may have thouhgt at first I was also a lightning))

I stepped on ot taking it from 80 to 90.... and he was still pushing me (in a friendly way) ... I put a bit more throttle to it and took it to 100 ... he was still there.. . (by the way I was still pulling well and had more throttle to spare)

I signaled I was going to move to the right and let off a bit.... He went on by and I settled back down to 80 ....

this was in light traffic and not near an exit... so relatively safe... and a lot of FUN

I really enjoy my SCrew

Nice... I haven't taken any 'long trips' as of yet but, I'm certainly not dreading them...

18.5 isn't too shabby!

I was happy

The high spped handling was smooth and predictable.

I know being responsible adults... we would never try to find the upper limits...

I am interested if any body has put the speedo to digital and tried???

I have only taken the new Screw up to 90mph (still a fresh 300 miles on it). My old truck did not have any problems cruising with traffic at 80-90mph, or pushing it the limiter around 103mph. Very comfortable as a travel vehicle. My wife and I have taken our 99 on a coupel long trips, 10hours to Poconos for our honeymoon, 1500 miles in 5 days to Michigan's Upper Pennisula. Great truck, except that fuel mileage.
