4.6 Performance

Hey guys, my 02 4.6 Screw feels extremely soft on the lower end of it's powerband. It almost like it has no torque at all. My pop's 01 Screw blows all four of it's doors off. Not gonna make it a drag truck but this is a concern of mine because I will be towing a car hauler with it. Both trucks are identical as far as powertrain. Oh yeah, going from a 2000 L to one of these might not help either.

how about the rear end..are they identical too? you could have a 3.55 or maybe a 3.36 and your Dad could have a 3.72

I looked at that also and they are both 3.55's. My Lightning ran damn good even stock so I guess I am paying for it now. It just seems abnormally slow. Midrange and the upper end is ok. It's just the low end that sucks.

Rip,
I had the same issue until I went to the Hypertech III programing module. It really made a difference down low as well as at the top end.
The other mods 3" cat back with a dual chamber muffler and a volant intake helped also but really didn't seem to click until the programer was installed.
Good luck!
