Unhappy stalled engine

two days ago, my screw stalled unexpectedly while making a right turn. The engine started back up OK after the engine stalled. Havn't had any problem so far. I'm kind of worry

anybody out there got the same problem?

Is it runing rough? Or using more gas than normal? Maybe a bad sensor but if it only happend once it could have been a computer glitch.

If you have not changed your fuel filter you may want to have the done. I don't think the gas would cause it to stall though.

Injectors are another possibility or maybe even that nasty little gremlin that gets under the hood sometimes

If it were my truck, I'd get a wooden stick or plastic wand and jiggle every wire and connector I could find while the engine is running to see if there's a loose or shorted wire somewhere.

The more I think about it, if it were bad gas or a cruded up fuel filter, it probably wouldn't have just stalled as you have described.

I think Dennis & dcovell are right on in thinking it's something electrical. Might be a beast to find but, checking just about every connector that you can feasably reach might be a great idea.

Best of luck.

I know a guy whos Chevy would stall and it was a lose sensor with dirty contacts. When he presed on it with the engine running it would die. Cleaned the connectors WD40ed it and has not had a problem since.

I had the exact same thing happen a few months ago. Driving straight, all the sudden the engine just turned off. Tried to restart it for about 30 seconds. Then it started but barely kept itself running. Then all the sudden raced and no more problem........ weird?????? been ok ever since.

Here's another possibility.

I know of a couple of friends who had an intermittent stalling problem. Turned out to be the crankshaft position sensor. The engines would run great, then all of a sudden die on a bump or turn, then start right up again. Eventually, the problem gets worse to the point where the engine just refuses to start and has to be towed.
