"A" Plan

I've seen some talk a while ago about regular consumers getting the "A" plan pricing(ford employee) with a few tricks.

Does anyone know about this and how to do it?

My target price is invoice amount or a little under.

Thanks

Living in a town where TWO Ford plants (Explorer/SuperDuty) are located, there are NUMEROUS folks out there that have access to A-Plan.

I've heard of those guys 'selling' their opportunity to buy under A Plan for a couple hundred bucks (which is DEFINATELY WORTH IT). I'm lucky enough to have a step-father that is with Visteon. A-plan comes easy for me.

G'luck.

It's definately against the rules for the employees to do that but, they definately do it.

Also, keep in mind that there is another 'plan' out there called 'X' plan. This is offered to dealers and salespeople. Most of the salespeople will pull strings to get you a 'X' plan price. Just talk to them about it and see if you can convince them to do it. Most of the time, from my experience, they're willing to give you one of their 'X' plan deals so that they can get the commission from your sale. I've had several salespeople offer me X plan if I wanted to go forward with a vehicle.

But, remember, X plan does't match apples for apples with A plan. A plan is definately the best.

Actually the one for dealer employees is the "d" plan, and is the same pricing as the "a" plan. The "X" plan is for companies that have nothing to do with ford, but maybe buy all their fleet vehicles from ford, so ford gives all the particular company's employees a x plan discount. The only one that is transferable outside of immediate family is the x plan, which is not that much higher than the a, d, plans.

Your Ford Employee calls somebody and gets a 4 digit pin number and that's it !

Pretty easy huh!

alot of people do it Ford probably can't figure out why they have so many employee's

But really with prices now you should be able to get invoice anyway. And such a low interest rate your all set.

My X Plan got me in a couple hundred bucks under invoice. I was happy, and so was my wallet.

A plan is for immediate family, spouse, parents, children. My mom get A plan because here brother works for Ford, so my Dad gets his truck under A plan. I'm not sure where the limits are, but I don't qualify.

I was informed that if my uncle got me the pin, Ford is not going to verify the relationship and I would get the truck under A plan. Thing is, I'm not going to ask my uncle to do that, and even if I had a pin it's a matter of conscience. I'm not interested in something that's not mine to have.

I get the Ford X plan, as a Ford Tier One supplier. To get the "PIN", you have to supply your SSN that is verified by the dealer as well as a copy of my paycheck proving I worked for the X plan supplier. I am not saying eveyone does it this way, but can confirm that's how my dealer did it. Frankly, You should be able to get an invoice deal or slightly less without any plan at all. Just takes some negoiating skills and requires sticking to your guns on pricing. If you don't walk out of the dealer at least once when you are working the numbers, you didn't get your best deal.

Here's a link

To the explanation page for the different plans, I get the X-plan as a supplier, (I work for FedEx which delivers parts and supplies).

A,D, X and Z Plans

And if you find a way to get the x-plan here's a link to find the vehicle you want at the dealership and the x-plan price for it.

My Ford Dealer has images of the actual invoices for all of it's vehicles. Use this link above to search the inventory. The invoice lists the Invoice Total, A&D plan and X plan prices in separate boxes.

Good site bmilford,

I wish I had that when I was looking for a truck. Wow, what a selection. I might be buying my next truck in Texas. I'd love a 4x2, but they are so hard to find in Wisconsin. This is the one I was looking for. I might have been willing to walk to Dallas for it.

Familyman,

thanks for the link on info for the A and X plan.
