I put a 2002 Lightning hitch on my 2003 supercrew. You shouldn't have any problems.

 

Thats where my L hitch went. Just make sure you have a good grip on that bad boy when you remove the bolts. It is one hard piece of equipment to handle by yourself.
I used my floor jack when I put it on my Supercrew. That way I could hold the impact, and the beer at the same time.
