moon roof question

Ive seen in a couple places on this site where it said "Im glad Im not any taller" because the sun roof compromises head room.

ummm...how much exactly? Im 6'5. I have a moonroof ordered on my truck order. Am I gonna be able to fit in it? Surely a moon roof doesnt DRAMATICALLY reduce the headroom does it?

It definately reduces head room but, here's a decent comparison...

I'm 6'2"... I have my seat as high 'upwards' as it will possibly go and I still have 2 or 3" above me.

I would go to the dealer and do a side-by-side comparison. I believe you have grace period where you can change options on a truck order. I wouldn't wait to long just in case the headroom is a problem.

I'm only 5'9" so I don't pay attention to headroom.

Good luck on the order.

headroom

I'm 6'4" and I can wear a ball cap in my 01' Screw. I do have a power seat though which gives a little more adjustability.

I am 6'5" too (and my weight begins with a 3), and I have the moonroof. No problems, there is enough head room.

The seats are fine and comfortable.

As I have said here before, my only gripe is that my left knee tends to rest up on the dash exactly on the up/down switch for the pedal mover. Not only is that little switch hurt, but I can move the pedals without knowing it. It can be pretty dangerous to try to hit the brake when brake pedal is six inches from where it should be.

OK, 1 more gripe is that there is no footrest for my left foot. My Taurus has one, why can't they graft one into a truck with a $38,000 sticker?

6"6" I can wear hats and everything, no problem.

I also recommend a moonroof as a must

I drive an F-150 because of my hight. I'm just to tall to be comfortable in the average car. The f-150 is one of the few vehicles I can drive with a moon roof.

Yes, I can touch my head to the celing when I sit up straight. This is my first F-150 with a moon roof, and yes I do notice the loss of head room. I'm still confortable and do like to open the moon roof.

You ask a good question, at 6'5" you are ok with a moon roof, but you are getting into personal prefrence area. I've had enough people run into me and pull out in front of me that sometimes I'm not as concerned with what I want to drive as with what I want to be driving when I have my next accident.

If you don't drive with my fears and concerns then there is plenty of head room.
