Wot

I've been reading many performance posts and there have been numerous times "WOT" has been mentioned. Exactly, how do you know when it's wide open?

Only when you floor it?

3/4 down?

Depends on if you are talking about when it is used for mashing the pedal to the floor or in A/F ratio type instances.

If you are talking about 1/4 ETs, then it would be mashed to the floor.

Emissions standard the dmap is used when TPS is greater then 80%, and under that situtation 80% and above it is WOT for emissions type discussions.
When the truck has a WOT under this frame work, then it is running rich with a stock or close to stock tune usign the dmap.

So I guess it has to do with how the term is being used, to clearly define WOT.

At least this is the way I have read it and used it, might not be correct though....
