top speed?
Funny you should ask...
On my trip out to New Mexico from San Antonio a couple weeks back, I touched what I would guess to be about 105+... I was running 85-95 most of the way - which is very common on I-10 west of Fort Stockton... I guess I got a tail wind and running a little downhill when I looked down and OH SHIZNIT!
I don't have it chipped either, so I am sure I had to be at the limiter...

:o I pinned my speedometer coming home from a golf outing last summer. It was a little downhill, and I don't think I had the pedal all the way down (I don't remember a whole lot as I was just praying not to get caught or catch a deer with the grill!). Of course, I had a 'vette Z06 hit 125 last November. And I know I had a LOT left in that reserve!
I'm guessing around 110mph. Give or take.
The speedo only goes to 100. Was testing out the removal of the speed limiter (I have the SuperChips MicroTuner) and watched the tach continue to increase after the speedo needle pegged itself. It helps to turn off the overdrive.

Last year I did 116.5 MPH with a Superchips; added mega hp with a Kenne Bell with 10 PSI boost last month. I need a new chip that remove the top speed limiter then check out the top speed. Getting to top speed should not take long at all - awsome power with a Kenne Bell and a SuperCrew. Now I've got a TwinScrew SuperCrew.
My GPS clocked me at 110.6 mph. I forgot to erase it and my wife found it. She sure gave me a rash of chit.
I tried to convince her that I was doing an acceleration experiment by dropping the GPS off a cliff to see what the terminal velocity of gravity is at 28ft./sec./sec. She didn't bite and just got madder. Oh well.
