Brighter Headlights
How much do you want to spend????
If your wiling to spend about $40-$50 then get the SilverStars. In my opinion they are the best bang for you buck.
Now if you really want to spend some dough, you can get the HID lights, that will drop ya for around $500
Just whatever you do don't get the cheaper "blue" lights, they will actually make it worse. The SilverStars have a bluish tint to them but are actually putting out a lot more light, plus they draw a bit more wattage too.
The 9007's are direct replacments, just take out the old and in with the new. Plus thier are some rebates out there from what I have heard.
Rockpicks truck has the HIDs so you can see what they look like, I have the SilverStars in mine and they definatly made a diffrence from the stock. Just make sure to re-aim your headlights after you install the new bulbs as your sure to mess up the aiming.

Like dcovell mentioned, it's all a function of how much you want to spend.
I started out with simple headlight bulb replacement and opted that it still wasn't at the level that I felt it should be thus, I went ahead and bit the bullet... I bought the Xenarc HID system.
They're awesome and rival what you see on the high dollar BMW and Lexus autos that are cruising around with HID systems from the factory.

I'll second DCovell
If you want to spend a reasonable amount of money just replace the headlight bulbs with 9007 SilverStars. I didn't even have to re-aim mine, but sure appreciate DCovell's attention to that issue. I for one think it is REALLY inconsiderate to have poorly aimed headlights especially if you are going to go to brighter whiter lights. I measured mine on a wall before and after the installation and then I had my wife drive my truck while I drove her car to see what mine looked like while they are comming at me.
The difference is well worth while. It is without a doubt NOT the same as upgrading to a Xenarc HID system, but is only 1/10 the cost.
Also, The Omni-Present RockPick (I don't know how you spend so much time on this forum) posted a comment in another forum about removing the signal lights when replacing the headlights. Ya, Ya, I thought . . . I will just pay attention to detail, use my incredibly developed mechanical skills, and skip that recommendation.
It is just one bolt to remove the signal lights while replacing the headlights which is what you do to plug in your new SilverStars. DO remove those signal lights! It is sooo much easier and will save you sooo much time and agrivation.

Here's another vote for the Silverstars. I put a set of Lightning headlights (and markers) in my SuperCrew, but replaced the stock halogen bulbs with the Silverstars before installing them. I'm not totally convinced that the Silverstars throw that much more light than the stock halogens, but the color of the light (i.e. white vs. yellowish) makes the light they do put out much more useable. If you've got the $$$ the HID's like ROCKPICK's can't be beat. If not, the Silverstars are well worth the investment.
