Chromed my emblems

Well i got the itch to do my emblems on the crew. Wasnt to bad, the worst part was the emblem on the back, that says supercrew. Getting the paint off that one took forever! Heres a pic that i snapped! Now i just have to get this black paint off my hands.

I found that its pretty helpful. BUT I do still have one question...Does the XLT part stay on there after you do it or do you just have to be careful not to hit it?

Most of the directions i read said the XLT would come off pretty easily with the acetone, that wasnt my case. I didnt push to hard around the XLT, and didnt go over as much as the rest of the emblem in fear of the XLT coming off. I guess what im saying is, use cotton ***** and dont push very hard, you shouldnt have to push hard on the emblem anyway for the paint to come off.

YEA....I found this:

"If you have an XLT and your badges say XLT in red lettering you can create a really neat look. The XLT is just a red sticker, so if you take your time when working around the lettering the sticker will remain intact. My truck was in a wreck and both front fenders were replaced. When they reordered the badges they did not get XLT specific ones. I am sorry I do not have directions or pictures on how to do this, but it seems pretty easy. "

PS are you a member on CAF?

coach...dont get acetone on your paint, it will eat through the clear coat and then the paint. Mask everything off really well, masking took me about 20 minutes or so!
