Missing Lariat Pin Striping

I have a 2002 Screw Lariat 4.6L. I've been reading that the Lariat is suppose to have the Lariat name and pin striping on the body. Mine doesn't. My leather seats have the Lariat written on them though. Also my valance doesn't have anywhere to mount fog lights. Is that only an option for FX4 models?

TX,
Dean

If you bought it used, many people have had the pin stripes removed, felt it looked cleaner.

Fog lights on all 4x4 models, and no 4x2 models. Most seem to add PIAA or other lower valance and fog lights.

I would take it back to the dealer and ask why it is not there. It should be put on at the factory.

It's definately part of the trim package and, from the sounds of it, yours was skipped when they put the pinstripe on.

Take it back to your stealership and get it put on.

I saw an FX4 on the lot one day that had the stickers on one side and nothing on the other side. Just goes to show you what they may miss.

It is quite possible that they missed it.

I read on another message board of someone getting a new 2003 Explorer (silver in color) that had the flat black door handles on one side, and painted silver ones on the other side.

Good one.

My first new car after graduating from college was a Dodge Aries (I know, a sucky car, but I was broke). While driving it home I noticed that it said Plymouth Reliant on the glove box.

Ha. You got that right. They were running a special when I bought it. For $100 extra I got a 5 year extended warranty. Best $100 I ever spent 'cause that pig LIVED in the service dept.

Gimme a Screw any day.

Are you sure you really want to put stickers on your truck? Pulled mine off the second week of ownership, haven't given it a second thought.

A dealer in Chattanooga, TN had a SuperCrew (XLT) with King Ranch hubs on the wheels.

Thanks for all the replies. Since everyone thinks the pin striping should be there, I'll take it back to the dealer. Thanks again for your help.
