Creaking

Bought a 2003 Screw in February. Sometimes I hear a creaking noise when I'm accelerating from a stop or braking to a stop. Sounds like its coming from the passenger side rocker panel area. It doesnt sound like the lumbar creak I've read about.

Anyone else have this? A friend of mine bought the same truck a week earlier than me. He had the creaking a couple of times but only when it was really cold.

Question

I bought 2003 Supercrew in January and had the same problems. At first I thought it was just the cold. It would only creak at very slow speeds, stopping, or starting. I brought mine back to the dealer and they said it was the rear suspension. They greased the rear shock and spring bushings. The noise disappeared for about a month then came back. I went offroading 2 weeks after that and haven't heard the noise since. I don't know if that helps.

I just discovered I have this same problem. Only happens when starting out from a stop. Seems to be worse when it's cold. I've noticed that it doesn't do it when in 4wd, so a rear end problem might be the cause.

I recently pulled my ATVs to the dunes and drove just a little through the loose sand, pulling the trailer. I was spinning just a little until I put it into 4wd. I'm curious what this is. Anybody got any ideas?

Just get a 12 pack of WD40 and spray down the entire bottom of the truck. Or just roll the windows up and turn up the radio.

I have gone offroading several times and have driven though several rivers/mud and ever since almost everything sqeaks under my truck, especially backing up. I think I need to grease all the moving parts under there.

By the way does it rain a lot where you are?
