I'm not sure about the Arizona Beige emblem. It's almost too 'silvery' but, maybe it'll look better mounted on the truck which should be tomorrow. I still need to let them cure.

So that was your secret mod. I tried the arizona beige on mine too, but it didn't turn out. It looked very much like yours does, but I wasn't happy with it, so I redid it in my current chameleon blue/green/purple. I wondered what you would do that was a pair and would consider doing in two different colors.

Now I understand. Get your dash panel yet?

I can't stress how easy this mod was to do... SUPER SIMPLE. By far and away, the hardest part is leaving them alone so that they can dry. That's just pure misery. LOL... Oh yes, and enjoy the contact buzz that you get off of the paint and the envirotex. Whew... I was higher than a kite after doing both of my emblems.... LOL...

Sorry for drudging up a very old thread, but when you painted the shroud on your old truck, did you prep the surface with acetone/adhesion promoter/other chemical, or just straight paint?

Just curious. May do the same thing when weather gets better. I will also be painting turn signal mirror caps in the near future. Wanted to buy them painted, but Ford offers PTM only. I got lucky on the keypad door handle. A dealer in Utah had one(pre-painted black), and was willing to ship it to my job instead of a dealership. Only 9 or 10 black ones left in the country.
