Question Can windows in back be lowered ??

Does anyone know of a way to get the backwindows on the Screw to go all the way down? Is there a stop or something simple that can be removed to make this possible ?

It can't be simple.
It does remind me of the time I got into the backseat of my buddies late seventies model 4 door Chevy Malibu. No cranks for the back windows, they were fixed. I couldn't believe it, the ultimate in cheapness.

The windows can't be lowered. No room in the door for the window to go all the way down. Sorry.

Just like Superbru said... it can't be done without MAJOR modifications. By major, I mean redesigning the interior of your door and/or redesigning the rear of the vehicle.

There's simply not room.

I think Ford just got cheap with the back window design. The Expedition back windows can't go all the way down because of the tire well protruding the rear doors. The SCREWs don't have this as the back tires are no where near the rear doors, Ford probely just used the same parts from the Expedition. The Super Duties back windows go all the way down (I'm pretty sure). I too would like to see the back windows be able to go all the way down but I can live with it as I don't sit back there much

There is a Federal regulation preventing rear windows from going all the way down due to idiot parents and childern not in seat belts.

I thought that to be true as well however, I can tell you that many of the new vehicles have windows that go all the way down. For example, the Explorer that I rented in Seattle two weeks ago had windows that went all the way down.

*shrugs*

Maybe they lightened up on the regulation and put the resposibility back in the hands of the parents where it belongs? It just burns my @$$ to see kids hopping around in a car with no seatbelts on and parents that love their kids to death!

Just my opinion.

I'm sure they did that on the Crapalanche so people could try to jump out of the back rather than be seen in the Rubbermaid Renegade.

I must admit they are ugly, strange though most of the executives I know think they are the greatest things since slice butter.

My buddy has one of those things and well at first he was overjoyed but since having it for over 6 months his attitude has really mellowed out..
I believe he sayed (Ford F150) hmmm..
what was I thinking about...
