Hey all,
I am new owner of a 03 Supercrew Lariat 4X2 and am looking for tonneau cover. I found this company that makes a tonneau cover that hydraulically lifts up to 6 1/2 feet. I am interested in this for the following reasons:
1. You can haul oversize items without taking off the tonneau
2. Easy access all the way around
3. Secured by the hydraulics

I am looking for one without the tent. Has anyone seen this or have one?

Those are very cool! I looked at those before I bought my ARE tonneau, but at the time they were too expensive. It is my understanding that you can get them without the tent. They are also supposedly very sturdy in that you can actually leave them open (or partially open) while driving to carry taller loads. I haven't seen one in person, so I can't offer any first hand experience.

My neighbor has a KR that he tried to get the tonneau only (they can be ordered without the tent). I understand from him that they haven't started making them yet for the SCrew.

 

I had contacted the manufacturer directly about 3 months ago. They did have a unit to fit my truck, but I could not justify $1,500 for a lid. Hence the ARE LSII on there now...

BTW, that price was quoted for the unit without the tent.
