John... You live in St. Matthews? I work in St. Matthews... you know the old Eline Reality building across the street from 5/3 Bank? Big 'LF' on the sign? That's where I work...

Rock,

I live on Blenheim Rd off Hubbards Ln. You're spitting distance from here. Check my post to you in the KR section, under the 2004 KR SD. I've got some friends with a couple of houses for sale if you're intrerested.

John

Just got that John... I might touch base with you on that but, I'd say they might be a tad out of the price range...

Talk them down to 135 and we might chat...

Actually I am another SCrew owner, not a L owner.

Smile Thanks!

Thanks for the info about the emblems fitting...I have a set of three on the way. I don't want to "fool" anyone into thinking a Super Crew is a Lightning, just like to change things up a bit & I like the SVT script better than plain jane F-150. To those who had positive feedback, thanks again!...And that new 'Stang is SWEET!

Seems to me it's more a "clique" within this site than anything else.
You know, High School Stuff. You know, that "I'm better than you" type of thing just because I have an official SVT vehicle.

WTF?

Dont get me wrong, I love the Lightning, but it still just a truck.
Yeah, it's the fastest production truck, but so what?

C'mon, lets have a true brotherhood of all Ford F-150 owners here, and not be discriminative on which model they drive.

My $.02

I agree and thanks my friend!

I agree, what's the big deal. I like all the models of the F150. I have a 97 S/C. I'd love to have a lightning, but I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter. You learn to make compromises. Had they made the Suprcrew when I bought mine, I would've chosen that. Now I love the new Harley's and the KR's, and that may be in my future. But right now I'm happy with what I have and I'm hoping to keep it another 3-5 years.
This reminds me of when I had my BMW. I bought it new in 85. The dealer had a trim pkg they put on that had front/rear spoilers and special floormats, Koni shocks/struts and 15 inch rims and pirelli P7 tires. They put the M badges on it. This was a full 2 years before the M3 made it's debut in 87. When the M3 came out people started giving me **** about my fake M3. I just pulled the dealer sticker from the glove box and showed them the line item that said "Dealer installed M package" $1,200.
So I say let people do what they want to their vehicles. If they like it that's all that matters.
John
Again, I agree and thanks for the comments. I have a Kawasaki ZRX1200R...would I get angry @ a guy with a 500 sporting 1200 emblems? I think not my friends. We now return you to your regularly scheduled program.

I own one of each. I have a black Lightning and a silver Supercrew. I like both trucks equally as much for what they were designed to do. I would NEVER put badges from one to the other. Don't pretend to be something you're not. Do Lightning owners put Supercrew or Harley badges on they're trucks? Show me some please.

No, but you and your friends might snicker, laugh and call him dumb @ss.
How about I put ZRX1200R on my ZG1000-A17 ?

Better yet what if I pulled up to you on a my Connie with Ninja 1000 stickers on it ( even though it is almost one, less cam, heads and the ridding position ) ?
You'd be grinning, and thinking to yourself : DUMB @SS
Get the picture of what you are doing.
If you want to make it stand out a bit, put a L front end on it.
Accetone the stock badges, anything.
Even the SVT Focus guys can bust your ***** over this....that is just wrong that a Focus owner can do this to someone besides a street ricer'd car with the 200# AL wing.

Doesn't do crap for traction, as it is not over the drive wheels, but it does help in weight transfer front to rear, as the rear end is already down about 1.25" due to the added weight of the wing, and the other 50# in NOS ( say it like a Dumb @ss, Naawwzz ) stickers. And you thought that was a lowering kit.
Add to that, the big as your head Tach on the dash with the no-op shift light ( they don't know they need the converter module for the electronic ign and the yellow RPM limit *brick* put in it ). Oh don't forget the VTEC lindicator lights on the dash.....now that is tight
One day on I-290 I say a red standard cab, long bed XL, with a off color red AL cap on it.
The 5# folgers coffee can muffler extension on the stock pipe, and......are you ready for this.......SVT badge on the tailgate.
I did what I noted above, grined, shook my head and muttered dumb @ss to myself ( got to love Red Foreman ! )
