Herculiner
Herculiner
Found the Herculiner bed liner materials at a local tool shop for $65.00 after mail in rebate so picked her up. Had priced out having a similar coating sprayed on by a body shop but they ran from $380 to $500. Spent five hours Christmas Eve night and about three hours total time Christmas Day prepping the box and putting the coating on with a roller and paint brush. Turned out great. I'm sure it's not as thick as having it sprayed on professionally, but I doubt it will matter. I'm not going to be throwing steel posts or other sharp metal heavy objects into the box carelessly, so I'm not worried about the thickness. I can tell this stuff is going to stand up to the use I'll give it as it's as hard as a rock. I'd bet most people wouldn't be able to tell that this wasn't professionally installed. No question it was a lot of work to get it on (there's a ton of clear coat to scuff up in the box), but it was definitely worth it now that I see the finished product. (Even found time the day after Christmas to put new shoes and spring kits into the drums on the old '78 F-150 Ranger.)
My 2 cents,
