Question Question for Crash?

Just want to start by saying this is an awesome site to research mods for the F150's. I have a 97' f150 5.4L with 164k mi. I am planning on installing a MagnaCharger and I want to go with a fresh engine instead of doing a rebuild. Where is the best place to find OEM crate motors or quality remanufactured longblocks? I have checked sites like Grooms, Jasaper and karkraft but I was wonder who you guys would recommend? I would like to eliminate the FMU from the Magna kit with a custom burned Superchip and was wandering if I needed to bump up to 24 or 36 lb injectors? One last question, would I encounter any installation issues with the accessories and sensor bolting up if I went with a 99 or newer longblock to get the PI heads? Check out my signature for my present site up. Any help would be appreciated.

Alot of places offer parts, but not really any ready made block with the exception of Sean Highland motorsports. What we do is purchase a black block from ford along with a stock crank. Then put in the manley rods....etc. It is not hard to build a long block. If you do not wish to do it. Find a local performance shop and have them build the motor with the magna and then when it is ready do a motor swap. For the tune go with 90mm MAF from ford along with the 42# injectors to loose the FMU. If you are not stuck on superchip we burn our own chips. It is basically a Diablo revolution chip with our program on it, if you have any questions on it just hit our customer forum at got-pressure.com. If you are stuck on superchip then go with Mike T or JDM for the tune.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know you guys did your own chips. I will be giving you guys a call in the spring to workout details on a purchase of a Magna kit and chip.
