Looks like Neal is getting left behind in the dust

btw, with a built engine... just think of what 25+PSI would do
tune, pump, injectors and mass air is all that's needed!... I wanna see you pump 28PSI out of that **** and run 9's!
I bet you would run 9's...
What the?
You mean instead of Neal the "horsepower freak" Newman, we are going to have Flats "the horsepower freak" Man????????
Isn't Neal building a monster of a 5.4 that is going to blow everyone away?
I don't know anymore....very confused.................ha! just kidding!

Don't count Neal out of the picture. He has been very quiet lately which means He is up to something! lol I don't see Me in the Truck with 28 lbs of boost but maybe my Brother Sixpipes would be crazy enough to give it a shot. I am just trying to find out how fast this little 4.6L can push an F150. I could see a small Nitrous shot down the road for special occasions, however! lol
Ya know just when I was havin fun kicken everyones but, who would know Flats would take it personal and all. lol
I will be ok for awhile I guess, that is until we are done with his truck.
Once that happens I guess we will have to up the anty and do some ahmmmm "WORK" on mine
so I can catch back up.
His truck is going to seriously run some numbers. Especially once we turn the boost up when Flats is not looking.

Here's a taste of why I have been quiet lately.
There's a lot more pics in my gallery.

neal:
A word of advice from a V6 guy (
)
Procharged truck would whoop *** all over your slow magnacharged truck!
oh, the advice:
Start doing heavy research on the Procharger!
11PSI or more and you'll have good strong launch w/ TONS of boost @ 2,200. It's actually helpful so you don't have to worry as much for traction when launching.
PROCHARGER! PROCHARGER! PROCHARGER! PROCHARGER!

Skidmark, Crash said He was selling me the new ATI for old Pootietangers and it puts out about 5 psi. It is good for going to the drug store for my medications and pulling the occasional flats boat. You don't think he slip me that new fangled hi-output D1sc ATI do you? Lordy, Lordy, Lordy..........
Flats Man,
I know you are focusing on the Procharger now, but could you tell us, what was were best 0-60, 1/8 and 1/4 mile times with the Magna? Did you have a 7 or 9 lb pulley? If you had the 9lb. pulley, did you have belt slippage? What other mods. did you do? Any tips for us Magna users? Thanks.
Almost forgot to ask, could you "white smoke" your tires with the Magna? If so, how? what size/type tires did you use? Thanks.

I ran my best 1/4 with the 7 lb pulley and all that info is in my profile at the bottom. As for white smoke, check out my web address under the address of my photo album at the bottom. The 4.6L can run a 9 lb pulley shifting at 5400 rpm and not exceed the red line on the blower and since the 9lb pulley on the 4.6L is larger than the 9 lb on the 5.4L, I had no slippage problems and was able to turn the full 9 lbs of boost on my gauge.
I have been following your threads and I believe you have an open differential on your truck as in you are breaking only one tire loose and not spinning both. A word of caution with that set up is that if you are street racing, which I gave up, You will break a tire loose and you don't know which side it is. When the tire finally bites it will pull the truck either right or left. So in this example, you are street dragging a ricer, he is on your right, the left tire breaks loose, you correct your wheel to the right slightly, then the left tire bites snapping your truck further right into your rice buddy. Not good! I have an Auburn Pro LS and if you want to smoke tires go to the 4:10 gears. My stock tire size is 275x60x17 and I could light them up with no problem. In fact it was so hard to launch that I went to Hoosier slicks.
One other thing, when you go to the LS and 4:10 gears and hit it from a stop, you are going to experience wheel hop and axle wrap so bad, you will probably have to back out of it. Can you say traction bars? I hope all this helps you. I still love that Magnacharger!!!

Well, when you and Skid get here, we will take care of that "open Ocean" thingy. Randy will start milling my crank pulley on Monday so that it will be ready for the upgrade! I am becoming a "Ford Clip Expert." I have removed the entire engine harness and the valve covers and all the hardware so all I have left on the motor is the timing chain cover and timing chains. The heads will be off on Monday. So as not to confuse you Guys, I am installing new ford racing head gaskets on my stock block and I will have Crash install the ATI on my old motor. When the fuel system is done and the new Short block arrives, then We will pull this engine out and install the new one. Then the difficult task of tuning begins!
