for now i am not going to add the fuel rails for now. the only benifit you get out of them on the 5.4 is more tuneability, because they have the ajustable regulator. im not sure which throttle body you are refering to. the one for the L will not fit. eventually i might get a bigger TB. but for now i am not going to. i tryed to do all the things that need to be included with the chip, so i dont have to ever deal with JDM again. the next think i will get is the L fuel pump, because the ATI inline is a little annoying. although i am getting used to it. and i am going to try to relocate it so it doesnt resonate in the cab. ill let you all know when JDM figures out what the hell they did with my stuff.

Unfortunately, I am tired of JDM. I feel like they are not being honest with me. They have be telling me tomorrow, or a couple of days for over a month! I know there is nothing I can do about this, but I think I am going to try. Like posting a thread on the Computer Chip Forum that states the problem that we are all having, and warn anyone else about dealing with them. That is fine that they are so busy that they don't need my business, but maybe they will perk up if the 26,000 members of this forum stop giving them business. What do you all think?

mthunwardsen, forget that, you will be get jumped on, flamed whatever the hell ya wanna call it and be called a cry baby etc.........JDM does no wrong and it's everybody else catching feelings, bec JDM took care of them beyond your imagination, and bought them lunch etc.................there are plenty of others out there that know all about this. Just voice yourself when you feel the need and don't buy from them. There are other places to deal with, just gotta move on....................Any type of custom programing of Superchips has to go to Superchips first anyway. I was told Superchips doesn't let any dealer do squat for custom programs. Crash/Skid is this true? Go Autologic more programing, and the cost of a reburn............... the cost of a decent lunch.

It would have been nice if the new Superchips Micro tuner would work for us..........

Jim actually does his own tuning. He has a propritary chip that he uses, however the superchips setup uses the same coding. None of his stuff goes to superchips. He does the whole code etc.

yea, i wouldnt go say too much about JDM. everyone knows they have ****ty service, but i guess thier products are good enough to deal with it. we shall see. i knew going into this that JDM takes a long time. that i can deal with. as long as they are up-front about it. i just want to know what is going on. and now they claimed they shipped my stuff to mark, then crash called and had a talk with them and they are now sating that they were waiting for a superchip file???? and that they shipped it out on friday. but they probably didnt. we shall see.

I have no intention of stating anything bad about JDM. I will just merely state the tfacts. They do not lie. As for JDM themselves, when I have talked to them, they have at least been very nice to me on the phone, even if they were not telling me the truth. I fundamentally believe that this forum is not intended to bash anyone or anything, and I do not intend to do that. I have the belief that this forum is in place for information sharing. I did not find information in my searches on the product turn around time or reputablility of JDM prior to my purchase. I did find that people were greatly satisfied with their finish product, hence I have not retracted my order. Now I find others who have been lied to also, and have waited longer than I. I would have had no problem if I was told from the initial purchase that it would be a month, I would have happily waited. Unfortunately, I was told that it would take no more than 2 weeks, according to JDM. After 3 weeks, and no chip, I began calling. I have called a dozen times since them. I still do not have a chip, and it has been 6 weeks. These are the facts.

I just wouldnt post anything bad about JDM especially in the L fourm, because they will jump on your back so fast. It is kinda understood that JDM serves who they want to serve. they provide all the people who really push thier products on the L board with great service. it is the people who just order something that they dont seem to care about. it is bad business. I knew going into the chip purchase that it might take a while because they were busy. it is them lieing and makeing things up that pisses me off. I know they have bad service. and i do think it should be shared on these fourms. but just beware of the L boards. they have plenty of tuner wars going on over there. for every person who hates JDM there is 1 who loves them. Hopefully thier products are so good that i forget about all my problems getting them. because that would mean i am REALLY REALLY satisfied. i dont forget customer sevice issues easily. by they way. lo tek's service sucks too. ill let you know about the products if they ever get here.

I feel the same 2000F150HD. If the product is that good, then fine. I am not concerned about someone trying to jump on my back. It is not like anyone is coming to my door with a pipe wrench. I just don't like being lied to, even if it is only over a few hundred dollars. I guess I still feel that is a lot of money. Or maybe I have just been spoiled with the help and service from Crash! and Skid, and others on this board like yourself.

If I may divert everyones attention to the forum title.....ahem...

The S&B install went flawlessly with the original suggestion of cutting and using the K&N rubber as a fill in. I actuall turned it inside out and used the ridge as a nice square edging.

What the hell, it was already paid for and its not worth the effort to sell! (It was too damn small anyway!)

Well, I put it on at the same time as I did the ATI install. So my only comparison would be to the original, pre ATI K&N FIPK. No contest!

I had a K&N on for a while before I put the S&B on. I couldnt get the K&N that came with the kit stretched onto the MAF adapter but had another that fit so used it. I really didnt notice a difference.

well,
the wait is still onfor the JDM stuff. i will keep you all posted. I think we are all spoiled by crash and skids service. it seems like everything else i buy now i am pissed about the service. But i am glad we are spoiled. its kinda nice. anyway.... the ATI is running great. and i am having a little too much fun now that the oil is changed I cant wait to get all the stuff i have coming. i might hit the track this week. But even if i ge3t the parts tomorrow i dont think they will be in for a while. I am going to the baamas this weekend, so i probably wont get everything in for a while. But i am definately getting ready to post some times.
