Question Blower and 4R70

Ok folks, I am now seriously considering a blower. After checking my options between the '02 HD or bolting on a blower to my '01 5.4, I have decided to do the later of the two. My question is this:
I know that the 4R70 is the weaker of the trannies that Ford puts in these trucks, can it hold up to the magna charger? I have the 4R70 in my last truck and went through about 4 trannies before Ford bought it back from me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

That is good to know. I have 20,000 miles on the truck now, do you think that is ok? I am more concerned about the trans going out and having to remove the blower so it can be replaced under warr.

I am running the ATI at 12psi and have the Baumann kit with custom chip program. We have seen these trannys take alot of abuse. I know of several in mustangs putting over 600hp through them with out failure. My 97 had 60,000+ miles and did not have any issues until I went to mega boost (above 20) and then I only hurt 3rd gear band. My 01 has 28,000 on it with no problemo.

Can anyone tell me what a "fair" price for the magnacharger would be?

Unless your going to have more than 700HP I think you will be safe with the 4r70w tranny.
